| RECOMMENDATION |
REASONS FOR SUGGESTIONS |
| Make Text Large |
Outdoor displays should be simple, clear and easy to read.
- Digital Billboard size is 16' high x 35' wide
- Can be viewed from a 500 feet distance
- Recommend copy be a minimum of 3' or 4' tall and remaining copy to be at lest 18" tall
|
Bold Text
Non-Serif Fonts |
In order to make your copy text more legible:
- Use UPPER and lower case type
- Use san-serif fonts - these provide the best readability
- At 500 feet, thin lines begin to fade and very heavy fonts blur text together
- Add a dark thick line around text to separate it from the background

- Keep messages or images to a minimum
- Convey one thought to your target audience

| Short and Sweet |
